VEERA TRAIWAS MILLER

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2003, Veera Traiwas Miller began developing his creativity in fashion and entrepreneurship at an early age, driven by his passion and spirit.

Veera Traiwas, is a Thai fashion designer, who runs as the chief executive, and he FOUNDED THE fashion label CALLED “TRAIWAS”, a global fashion label offering ready-to-wear CLOTHES, high fashion, haute couture, and leather bags. In addition to his work in fashion, he is a full-time student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), studying Fashion Business Management to enhance his skills in business and marketing industry.

Early Foundations

Traiwas was born in Bangkok, Thailand. After finishing elementary school, he attended and graduated from Traimit Wittayalai School in Chinatown.

In 2019, his mother passed away. A few years later, his father and grandparents also passed. These losses were very painful for him.

Without any close family left, Traiwas had to take care of himself. He worked hard to keep going and wanted to continue his family’s dream of running a business. During that time, he also started planning to study more and thought about moving abroad to build a better life.

PERSONAL LIFE

In 2022, at the age of 19, Traiwas married Chris, a devoted programmer. Shortly after, they decided to move to New York City in 2023. Traiwas wanted to study at one of the top fashion schools in Manhattan, and Chris had the chance to return to the U.S. to continue building his company.

A New Chapter

Traiwas moved to New York City in 2023. As a child, he grew up in a tough neighborhood surrounded by casinos and drugs. He always dreamed of living in a better place—somewhere safe where he could grow and learn. For him, that place was New York City. With its exciting fashion scene, it felt like the perfect place to follow his passion for fashion, modeling, dancing, sewing, and more.

When he arrived in Manhattan, Traiwas quickly jumped into the city’s fashion world. He studied at a sewing center on 9th Avenue, where he learned how to sew and sketch designs. He now has basic sewing skills and keeps improving. He also attends fashion events, marketing workshops, and continues to visit the sewing center to meet people and build connections.

Traiwas also volunteers for the Front Runner Club in New York. He helps update their website and organize digital archives using Squarespace as part of the History & Archives team. These experiences mark the start of a new and exciting chapter in his life
